Being A Man At Work?

It really is a man’s world out there. The workplace is the big boy’s place as men are often promoted much faster than women. But women, don’t get hysterical yet.
If you think the workplace is a heaven for the men, you are wrong. Men are going through the same difficulties as women. There’s trying to pull everyone else to get ahead of the game, and believe it men gossip, too. Background Check shows that men outnumber women by two to one when it comes to gossip, that’s according to a British study.
So, if you are having work troubles today, here’s how to be a man at work:
01Acknowledge your mistake and take responsibility
No matter how good you are there will come a time that will make a bad move. When this happens, be the man that you are, accept the mistake, study how to solve the problem, and move on. Doing so, you are showing everybody that you are man enough to take your own hits.
02Speak out
This means that when it comes to matters and opinions about work, you need to speak your mind. Don’t be afraid to tell them your opinions, but be able to support them. Yes, this may mean hurting some of your colleagues and disagreeing with your boss, but you have every right to present your ideas. So, speak out when necessary.
03Make decisions
Yes, you have a lot of work-related decisions to make. But this doesn’t mean that you have to make just any decision. It has to be a substantial decision. Take enough time to make a decision, but don’t worry if they don’t always produce good results.
04Never gossip
Men do gossip as much as women. Only that their gossips are often destructive and unprofessional. It is, therefore, important to keep your mouth shut in the office. If you hear something in the office, be man enough to keep it to yourself.
Keep in mind though that being a man at work doesn’t mean being a macho or a wimp. You don’t have to be an aggressive lunatic, or an apathetic pushover. Just be somewhere in the middle: a polite, hardworking yet powerful man.
Be poised and professional and you are likely to reap good rewards for your manly demeanor.

Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.
